Frequently Asked Questions [1] [2]
Question: Do you only work with local companies?
Answer: No. While we're based in Centerville, Ohio, we'll work hard to serve local, national and international clients through close collaboration by phone, internet and chat. Of course, we'd prefer to meet face-to-face, but if we've got to settle for digital communication, we'll make the best of it.
Question: Do you offer any discounts?
Answer: Yes. Centerville Web Design offers discounts for non-profit organizations and schools. Please ask us for details. We also offer Web Design tutoring at a discount for students, teachers and seniors.
Question: How much content should I have on my site?
Answer: High-quality content, and/or unique products are the surest ways to drive traffic to your site. A site that simply lists a few details and a picture of their products grouped together isn't going to do as well as the site that talks about the Latin American origins of a particular ceramic pot they're selling. It's usually safest to err on the side of too much content -- as long as it's relevant to your overall topic.
Question: Do I need to pay up front?
Answer: For first-time clients, we ask for half the job's quoted cost up front. The second half is due upon project completion. Payments can be made via our Paypal account, and/or by other means as arranged.
Question: What is a blog?
Answer: A blog is a portion of a web site (or perhaps an entire site) that's reguarly updated with news and events, as well as conversational-style articles on your chosen topic. Blogs provide an outlet for a company to interact with online readers, and they offer glimpes behind the company curtain. Google, for instance, regularly updates a corporate blog that's often visited by techies and web designers. Blogs also provide a way to gain new traffic and visibility for your site.
Question: Who works at Centerville Web Design?
Answer: Centerville Web Design is run by Fred Marion of Centerville, Ohio. A firm believer in the power of the Internet -- and the notion that we're in the web's very earliest stages -- Fred has a passion for technology.
