What is Web site maintenance?
Web site maintenance is the process of hiring a company to make regular updates to your Web site(s). That could mean a lot of things, such as tweaking your Web site design, adding new photographs, adding content that you email to us, adding products to your online product catalog, updating your blog, etc.
When you join our monthly Web site maintenance program ($499 month), we'll be here to update your site with new products or content when the need arises. You can rest assured you won't have to pay any additional fees beyond the monthly maintenance fee. If you have just one or two Web site updates that you'd like done, we can bill that at our hourly rate of $50.
What is NOT included in your monthly site maintenance program?
The following items are NOT included:
• No radical Web site redesigns (small tweaks are fine).
• No custom Javascript, custom Flash and/or custom AJAX.
• No free Web content creation (we'll post content that you send us, we don't create content as part of our monthly site maintenance program).
• No Web site database functionality.
What IS included in your monthly site maintenance program?
The following updates ARE included:
• Posting unlimited new stories, articles or photographs to your Web site.
• Unlimited updates to your Web site's product catalog as you add new items to your inventory.
• Tweaking your Web site's appearance (CSS and HTML) -- cosmetic changes only.
• Formatting your monthly email newsletter after receiving the content from you, and, if desired, maintaining a database of your email newsletter subscribers.
• Creating online forms for users to submit information and/or subscribe to your email newsletter.
• Unlimited updates to your Web site's events calendar.
• Creation of photo galleries to highlight special events on your Web site.
Who signs up for your monthly Web site maintenance program?
Our monthly Web site maintenance program is geared towards businesses with an evolving product line, a blog that's updated regularly and/or a Web site that needs frequents updates to their events calendar.
Essentially, our Web site maintenance program allows you to outsource the management of your Web site to a third party, so you can focus on core business areas, while still maintaining a vibrant, evolving Web site. Just shoot us an email when you need a Web site update and we'll take care of the rest.
What qualifies as a Web site update?
Web site updates are relatively simple, but often time-consuming updates to your Web site. For instance, if you own a restaurant, and you've just increased your prices, you might hire us to update your Web site so that it reflects your price changes on your online menu.
Other items that qualify as Web site updates include creating Web pages for new products, new store locations or upcoming events. Creating contact forms or photo galleries. When we create new pages, we simply use the format of your existing pages.
